I am a groomer with over 30 years of experience. I began my career as an apprentice in a salon in Pennsylvania. Over the years I have groomed in salons, kennels, and vet hospitals. At the last one, I wrote their manual for proper grooming procedures.
I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer through the National Dog Groomers Association of America. This certification was completed in 1995. It involved rigorous written tests as well as hands-on practical tests of my grooming abilities on four different breeds of dogs.
I am a Certified Feline Master Groomer through the National Cat Groomers Institute of America. This certification was completed in 2010. The process to achieve the certification involved spending two weeks at a school in South Carolina. It covered two full weeks of lectures, covering all breeds of cats, their specific traits, and their various health specifics. During that time at school, I also was able to take classes in pet CPR, which I am certified in, as well. I groomed many different cats while in school.
In addition to my grooming I have also bred, raised, trained and shown dogs of different breeds. I have exhibited dogs in confirmation and obedience competition. I also teach dog obedience classes.
Currently, I own one Standard Poodle, Nicky. He has 3 levels of Obedience Titles and his CGC certificate. Also living in our home is Harley, a Domestic Long-haired cat.

Sitting Pretty Grooming will come to you. We can work around your schedule. Our van is a self-contained salon on wheels. We can groom your dog or cat right at your front door; either at your home, your work or your vacation spot. The professional grooming skills provided will be sure to please you.
Each pet will receive a warm bath using a massaging bathing system. A shampoo and conditioner that is chosen to best benefit the pets needs. The pets ears will be cleaned (and hair removed), nails will be trimmed, glands will be checked the coat will be trimmed in a breed appropriate pattern or one best suited to the pet as well as the family lifestyle.
All of this pampering will be on a one-to-one basis. No other pets will be in the salon while your pet is pampered.
We serve much of Lee County; Cape Coral, Pine Island, Ft. Myers, and Sanibel. We have the "know how" and the skill to care for your pet.
